Hi, I would like to know if an item knitted in a yarn that is 55% BFL and 45% silk is eligible for the Other Natural Animal Fibers categories? Is it disqualified for being less than 60% silk?
Thanks,
Kathy
Hi Kathy, in order to enter the ‘Other Natural Animal Fibres’ section for hand knitting using commercially spun yarn, the yarn will need to be a minimum of 60% other animal fibre (e.g. alpaca, cashmere, mohair, llama, angora rabbit, silk).
